If I happen to pass by a Whole Foods, I’ll try and pick one up. Kinda curious to find out what a six-dollar pint of ice cream tastes like.

Now that they’re trying to take the coupon down, kinda makes you want it more, doesn’t it?

@dangeruss That’s what drew my attention in the first place, for sure.

Found a Whole Foods and ventured in for a couple of these in Chocolate and Cookie & Cream flavor.

In terms of the experience…you know you’re not eating ice cream or even light ice cream. Still, not terrible considering it’s made from nuts and berries or whatever.

For what it’s worth, I’m told that it’s a good “deal” on the Weight Watchers point system, so if you’re using that, and there’s a WF not too far off your beaten path, might be worth running a few coupons off on your printer and stocking the freezer.

Ran off quite a few. Grabbed 1 of each flavor our WF carried, and shared with several people in the frozen section. I feel like anytime we post a freebie etc…we are giving the company FREE marketing.

@dubzap69 I am a bit mixed on this. If it is a small company that was prepared to give away 5000 samples to a targeted market at a net cost of $1 each, then the company is out $5,000 that they planned for and can afford. If (again, small company) they get $100,000 worth of coupons distributed beyond their initial intention of 5000, they may not be prepared to handle the volume or the cost. In the long run, if they have a good product and people who use the coupon continue to buy, this can be a major return on investment with little advertisement costs. If people just grab because it is free and don’t support the company with return business, this can result in driving the business under.

@moonknight From the North Bay Business Journal, October 2017:

“Neal Gottlieb, a contender in the 2016 season of television show Survivor, founded Petaluma-based Three Twins in San Rafael in 2005. The company grew fast, with revenue now at $15 million, he said.”

Doesn’t sound like a small company.

In fact, it sounds big enough to know to take some simple steps to prevent duplication of the coupons, if giving some extra product away during a promotion was going to be a major concern for them.

@ctcarl Didn’t know that about the company or it’s size, my post was a hypothetical situation for a small company.

  • I actually like 3 twins, and buy it regularly. In the slim twin I really like the Lemon Cookie. Will definitely purchase in the future.

With a heavy heart, I’m moving this to Expired Deals.

So long, Free Twins, we hardly knew ye
