Bring an old, empty Toys 'R Us/Babies 'R Us gift card to Kmart and exchange it for $10 Freecash good for any purchase of $10 or more

Fox Business reports that Kmart is running a promotion to “cash in your Toys R Us gift cards” at Kmart. In reality, you aren’t cashing out the gift cards (which have no value anymore since April 21 due to the Toys R Us bankruptcy). It’s just basically a promotion to former Toys/Babies R Us customers into a Kmart store:
Bring any Toys/Babies R Us gift card to Kmart and get $10 in FREECASH which can be used toward any purchase of $10 or more. Toys/Babies R Us gift card can have no balance and still be eligible.
Sounds like an easy $10 if you have a Kmart nearby and can find an old, empty Toys R Us gift card. Not sure if a printed e-gift card will work for this promotion.

@mrvietnam Argument for holding onto old, empty gift cards?

Perhaps. Luckily for me I keep all my empty gift cards and give them to my 5 year old son. He likes to collect them and uses them when he plays store. It is a good idea to keep empty gift cards anyway for a time anyway. About three times now I found money on gift cards I thought the funds were depleted.
