Nice, I paid $5 for the Arctic clones just last month on clearance there.

  • Visited a B&M (~45 mins away) that supposedly has 8 in-stock (according to Brickseek). They were nowhere to be found. Had multiple associates help look for them. Found some TAL insulated cooler bottles (for perhaps $14.98) but not these 2-pack of tumblers. Total waste of time and gas.

@thediggler I have yet to find anything at WM that Brickseek says they have. I suspect the problem is on WM’s end since Brickseek is pretty good for Staples.

I guess thru the years I have been lucky. Admittedly I have been skunked as well with false inventory but I been quite fortunate as well. For those who are a distance away I’d suggest calling just to see if they have an item in stock. Let them do the walking, but NEVER request pricing. If you do it may be gone by the time you get there. I actually got burnt on these tumblers, as I had the store mngr. tell me she saw them yesterday morning and put them in the clearance area but were gone now, 2 hours later. She said she had 8 pieces and I got nada. BOO

It you need to give them the item # (to know what they’re looking for), they’ll see the pricing once they pull up the item (to view the computer inventory in-stock count). My rule of thumb is to simply NOT CALL and take your chances. I’ve had mixed success w/ these types of deals.

In the best case, there was a Magellan stand-alone GPS unit on clearance for $25 (MSRP of around $170 or $180). Brickseek indicated that a nearby B&M had 9 of 'em. They ALL turned out to be in the back (in an unpacked brown cardboard box). Had 3 different associates look for them until they were found.
