@tuskers TYVM!!! VERY HOT IMO.
For those who haven’t used a PetSmart coupon recently, it will beep if you use it on an acct that did not receive email with the coupon. YMMV as to whether the cashier will push it.
Limit one per acct. I signed up for more accts the last time this came out. Hoping my new accts get the email this time around.

They have the $10/$30 a few times a year.

My wife said this is one of the worst rated pet foods ever.
We only feed our dog nature’s variety instinct raw.
-
I have done this offer in the past and then donate the food to the local shelter.
They are always in need of items like this
-
@my4mainecoons
The last freebie coupon included something about being valid for email recipient only. THIS one doesn’t mention that restriction.

We do that too every time these coupons pop up!

No problems using Tuskers coupon today. Thanks again.
-
Used today myself, and required manager key turn override. They must be seeing this often, as the manager didn’t even have a question about it. Same thing with several of the last posted free bags, and with one that was sent in the mail.
-
@msrazzle I read that it came up expired when someone used it to purchase Oral Care. What product did you purchase?
-
@dangeruss
With all due respect to our fearless leader…your wife is a dog food snob, lol.
One of the worst rated?
First, every rating site has different opinion.
Second, if you Google “cheap dog food” one of the Science Diet varieties comes up as one of the better inexpensive dog foods.
Third, that’s a broad generalization of a good brand. There’s a reason most vets carry Science Diet to sell. You’ve never had a sick dog for which the vet recommended Prescription Diet?
Fourth, not everyone can afford Instinct. Not everyone can afford Science Diet. A lot of people buy their dog food at Walmart.
Fifth, thank you for contributing to this thread.
I won’t go on with numbers 6 and 7, lol.

Optimal Care and Hairball Control (2 people, 2 accounts).
-
I got Oral Care and coupon beeped. Error message was about coupon not being associated with the email address. They pushed it through.
-
@msrazzle I tried again today using a different acct. Coupon still beeped, was again manually entered and I did receive the promised $10 off your next Science Diet purchase CRT coupon. Unfortunately its $10 off 6 lb or larger.
-
I was lucky and got another free bag yesterday, and the $10 coupon. If you regularly use Science Diet, $10 off a 6lb bag is still good (I know - not as good as free) - especially if it goes on sale before the coupon expires in January. I’ll be in line if it does.
I don’t usually buy SD as I prefer grain-free, but I have several options for gifting free and almost-free cat food so I always try to snag them when possible.

If you have a big dog, it can get pricey. For a small dog, $20 a month isn’t so bad.
-
@msrazzle Our usual food Is Pro Plan but we add a few pieces of Oral Care to each bowl and use it for treats.
Just came from vet who asked what I was feeding for dental care. Satisfied when I said Oral Care. IDK if this is an issue just for cats because dog kibble is larger.

@dangeruss My largest cat is 20 lbs. The others are ~16 lbs. So we’re feeding ~ 65 lbs of cat a day, lol. We use a 2.5 lb bag a week. Those bags retail for $14.99 ea but because I’m an extreme shopper I pay $2-$5 per bag. When coupon shopping its usually cheaper to buy multiple small bags than one large bag.
The 7 lb bag of Science Diet is ~ $26.99 so I’d be paying $16.99 for something I just paid ~$5 for at Petco. The coupon this thread is about is now expired so I’ll go OT but here’s what I did yesterday, Nov. 5.
Petco has Pals Rewards with monthly offers. This month there’s a $10 back in Rewards wyb $30 in dog or cat food.
Amex has offer for $5 back wyb $25 at Petco, must activate.
Petco issued a $10/$30 coupon which expired yesterday.
There are tear pads at Petco for $10/$40 Science Diet.
Petco.com had Oral Care for $22 vs. store price $26.- Activated Amex offer and Pals Rewards offers.
- Purchased Petco gc at Petco paying with Amex.
- Purchased 2 bags of Oral Care, price matching to dot com, so $44.
- Handed over $10/$40 Science Diet, then the $10/$30 Petco coupon.
- Surprise. Another $3 Petco coupon deducted from each bag by the register.
- Paid with Petco gc.
$52 worth of food for $20 on discounted gc, getting back $10 in Pals Rewards. Net $5/bag.
I have a 2nd Petco acct. Went to another store and did the same thing, this time paying with a Petco card I’d gotten at Rite Aid using Plenti Points. Since I’m getting back $10 in Pals Rewards that was sort of a $10 MM.

Well like I said if you’re feeding a small dog/cat, it’s worth it, once you go larger it can get pricey. Although nature’s variety has grain free kibble as well.

Wish I knew about that, would’ve grabbed more nature’s variety.
-
@dangeruss Well the $10 back in Rewards is a month long offer and you can stack that with the Amex offer by simply buying $30 worth of food and paying with your Amex. Easy to create a new Pals accts. Get one for every Amex card you have. Even without the Amex $10 back in Rewards is nice.
I feed ProPlan True Nature because when it came out there were a lot of coupons for it-- manufacturer and a $10 Petco coupon stacked. Can still get it for quite cheap with coupons so I pick it up when there’s a deal and have it stockpiled by expiration date.
Never see great coupons for Nature’s Variety but if there were we’d be feeding NV.

They used to give a $3 coupon, which wasn’t great but it was something. Now they don’t even do that.
-
@dangeruss I’d suggest activating the Amex and Petco offers and hope for another Petco coupon for BF. Maybe buy a Petco gc on Amex in advance cuz maybe your oop will be < $25 as mine was so you don’t have to worry about the $25 spend for Amex.
The only NV I’ve bought was a pkg of “toppers” when I needed a filler to use a $ off coupon. Haven’t topped any bowls yet… still working on 2016 stuff.
-
@dangeruss Free is significantly better than $20 per month. Gotta love these free dog food coupons.
