filter out specific users ?

Hello. is there a way to filter out specific posters?
the Hot Deals section is just littered up with anything and everything from weekly sales flyers and not really any good finds.
i can research the weekly sales myself

There are currently two ways to ignore users. Click on the user name and then click the 3 vertical dots inside the blue circle to the right. At the bottom of the drop down list you will see the option to a) “Ignore user” and b) “Ignore user’s chats.” If you ignore a user, you also will not see their replies in other threads that may be of interest to you. Also, if a post by them is quoted by someone else, you will see the ignored user’s quoted text.

i have just set 3 to “ignore chat” and still see their posts

i see, it still shows the post and title, is there any way to eliminate that to clean up my view so i don’t see all the drivel?

Chat refers to PM messages from that user, and has nothing to with their threads or posts/replies in the forums.
I think the ignore feature may only impact the unread inbox notification at the top of the screen (i.e., you may still see those posts on the forum home pages. I’m not exactly sure). I do know that this issue has been mentioned several times under other, unrelated thread titles and behind the scenes, so it’s likely that there is currently no readily available/easy solution. Let’s ask @dangeRuss for an official statement on the status of enabling the ability to ignore threads (either individually on a post by post basis, or for everything posted by a given user).

@fivetalents I believe once you enable the ignore feature, the user’s post text dissappears, but the post stays where it is.

Correct, it doesn’t do anything to filter my view of “hot deals” which was quite nice on FW, so I could just eliminate those that post every sale item, regardless if a good deal or good merchant, just endless litter

We are also working on the rating system which may help things a bit.
