Well that’s true but we’re paying for it already via United States subsidies of the China Post service. It is a relic of when China was an industrially non-developed country. (All of those Shanghia’d sailors needed to send a post card back home for cheap.) MAGA and make foreign trade a level playing field.

But you as a consumer are going to pay more, so pick your poison.

Those China e-packets have put many businesses out of business, if they sell something less than a pound or so.
The US government has been subsidizing those shipments indirectly through even accepting them in the first place.
