Update: I just received an email that this doorbuster has officially been extended to Saturday while supplies last. I’m sure it’s likely still not meant to work with gift cards, but several readers had success on Friday afternoon / evening. I’m going to make a trip out to the store Saturday morning to see if I can still grab this one.
If you don’t want the $10 off $300 of Visa gift cards, you can just buy any gift card for $150 bring it to the counter along with a Google Mini and once they are rang up, the Mini should be discounted automatically to free. You have to enter your Office Depot rewards account number to allow the Mini to be free. You could always go to a store and see if the Mini rings up for free if not you could just cancel the entire gift card order. There is also an Office Depot gift card offer running 11/24-11/25 in which you will get $20 off when you buy $100 in Office Depot gift cards. I like to buy 10 $10 gift cards as in CA I can cash out when a gift card is under $10 and you can use these gift cards on the 100% back in rewards offers.
You can see online how many Minis your store still has in stock before you head out. Just put the Mini into your cart online and choose shop to store and it will tell you how many the sore has still in stock.

Yesterday I heard the deal was working automatically. The Google Mini automatically came off the total with the purchase of $150 in gift cards.
Today I went into an Office Depot and bought $150 I gift cards and a Google Home Mini, but ithe Google Home Mini did not automaticly come off, but the store manager gave it to me anyway because gift cards were not listed in the exclusions. The only exclusions listed were Epson and HP, said nothing about gift cards.
I bought $100 of Office Depot gift cards for $80 and then threw in a $70 variable amount eBay gift card, so when the dust settled, I got $150 in gift cards for $170 in gift cards for $150 and a free charcoal Google Mini (a $24.99 plus tax value).
