I used SkyAuction.com back around March 2000, @ruthie, and won a stay in a nice chalet in the German Alps, near the Swiss border. I don’t think that I was also able to win airfare, but I certainly tried…those were the days of pay-by-the-minute, 56kb dial-up Internet…
The chalet offered day trips each day; I went on one to Lugano, Switzerland/Luino, Italy (twin cities) and toured a chocolate factory.
The whole trip was really nice, no problems, whatsoever.
Didn’t realize SkyAuction was still around…
