You mean if I add my KC number to my wallet I can pay w/ a Kohls gc and still use the 30% off code? I just dug out my Kohls Card. Last used in Aug. 2007…

Exactly, @my4mainecoons! I’ve recently purchased items several times with discounted GC’s and had no problem getting the 30% off or free shipping.
During checkout, I proceed as if I’m paying with my saved Kohl’s card, then, when finalizing everything, I enter the GC number and submit the order: if the GC covers the entire purchase, great! If not, then the remaining balance is applied to my Kohl’s charge card! Win-win!
I haven’t done the calculations yet, but I think that I might lose out on Kohl’s Rewards Kohl’s Cash when paying with anything but my Kohl’s charge card (I’m in a test market, so Kohl’s Cash has replaced Y2Y Rewards) – Kohl’s charge purchases here receive 10% back in KC, while other methods of payment only receive 5% back… I’ll have to sort through my receipts and see if my GC purchases earn less than my charged ones…

@kohlspowrshopper Wowza. Wish I’d known earlier, lol. I get “free” Kohls Cards from RA.

Let the spending begin, @my4mainecoons!

@kohlspowrshopper I was just trying to use up $10 in Yes2You from the small appliances on BF.
There’s nothing I want/need so ended up getting kitchen towels.
The only reason I shop Kohls is for the small appliance deals-- for resale.
If one doesn’t want clothes and has enough kitchen stuff, what do you get?
-
One could pick up some fine jewelry (add’l $10 off $50) or perfume or bath sets for future gift giving (for that birthday or anniversary that one almost forgot )…
If the price is right, maybe one of the many excluded name brand items like Nike, Columbia, etc…if one neither wants it for oneself nor has a gift recipient in mind, one could re-sell it via Craigslist or eBay…?
Or…there’s always socks…

We’re not fancy folks. Don’t wear jewelry and don’t smell nice So I guess if I ever get into the Kohls game it would be for resale.

They do carry a few pet items: beds, bowls, toys, etc. They aren’t bad when the are on sale. Also, a lot of people get the coffee pods there, maybe those are good for resale?

@briarycliffs I have an unplugged, full size refrigerator storing nothing but boxes of Kcups, mostly $2/box from Staples clearance. They do not resell. I’ve had them in my yard sale at a fraction of supermarket price and no one buys them. Back when Discover was giving us $10 KC each month I got Kcups because there was nothing else I wanted. I still have a lot of those Kcups.
Cats don’t really need anything. A visitor looked around, saw all the cat stuff and commented that it was nice that the cats let me live here.
The reason I like Sears is because it has “consumables” I use: 2-stage fuel, fuel stabilizer, ice melt, motor oil, etc. and tools have resale value. Not to mention how many major appliances I’ve been able to get for “free” with SYWR pts.
