RE: Kraft Heinz recalls 83,800 cases of Singles American cheese slices -- choking hazard
I got some of that cheese. I noticed the extra plastic strip right away, though. Annoying, but I’m not throwing it away.

@briarycliffs GTK that they would nullify my free year. I’ve been getting them in case I use up my free 1500 minutes or for after the year ends. Is that reasonable?
A quick Google search shows you have 1 year to use them. If you use up your minutes in a few months and try to use the card, the yearly service would disappear and then you would have to add a service plan every month.
If you are talking about the brand new phone you just bought, I don’t think you should use them as it would negate the 1 year plan it came with. I would sell them, trade them, or use them on a second phone.
I’m not an expert so you might have to call. The first one might be ok to add on and extend the year another month. I’m almost positive that the unlimited cards would take away the free year of service.

I’m trying to use up my RA gc so I’ve bought a few TracFone cards. Is that a dumb thing to do?
What are they for? Will they become unusable if I don’t activate them?- 500MB data, 500 minutes, 500 texts; 30 day plan $15
- Unlimited Talk & Text 30-day plan $15
- Unlimited Talk & Text plus 3GB Carryover Data at high speed, 30 day plan $25
There was a card just for calls but I didn’t get that one since I don’t call anyone.
You can’t use any of those with a phone with a one year service or it will switch you to a monthly plan (more $$$). You can wait until after the one year service is gone (they may have to activated within x amount of days idk) or use them on a second phone, or sell them. There are a few you can add to your yearly plan, such as 1 gb data.

I shopped at Cub when I !ived in MN.
When we cleared out my aunt’s house I took some of the kitchen stuff. I have aluminum foil from grocery chains that disappeared decades ago.I shopped at Cub too when we lived in Minnesota. Rainbow too. I loved those cardboard boxes.

@my4mainecoons The service is good for one year once activated. The minutes/texts/data actually don’t expire as long as you have service. I have way too many minutes & texts that keep rolling over. I do run out of data though and have to refill once or twice a year.

@my4mainecoons I believe the clock starts today. I would activate before the return window is up (have no clue what it is). It’s always possible to get a lemon.

I don’t think the G’s matter. I don’t have a major city within 200 miles would just be getting it for deals that require texting or to check iBotta when there’s no free wifi. I’m currently using a Moto e5 from this thread. I will use it until the battery dies. The Moto G Play 4G is $65.98 but I like the blue medallion on the 5G. Is it worth the $7 difference? Any other reason to go for the 5G other than the color?
Also, before I screw up again; how long do I have to activate it-- 6 mo?
Do not get the moto g play over the moto stylus. The stylus has 4x the storage, 2x the memory, a better camera 5g, and it’s faster. Also, the moto play charges s&h so not really cheaper.
You have 60 days to activate the bundle or you lose the minutes/texts/data that comes with it. Also, ignore the low ratings from people who don’t know how to use a phone or don’t know what a TracFone is for. These aren’t for heavy or even normal data users that like to stream music or videos.

@briarycliffs it’s now $73. Is that a good deal?
That is a great price, especially if you use the new customer coupon. I love the phone. I don’t use the stylus, but it doesn’t bother me that it’s there. Granted, I can only get 5g in the big city and it’s spotty there. But so far, I like it.
