Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer only valid for purchases paid at the pump at U.S. Chevron and Texaco locations. Excludes all other transactions such as, but not limited to, convenience store purchases, car wash purchases, automotive repair services, online transactions, gift card purchases, wholesale purchases, airline or marine fuel purchases. Excludes all international locations and brands, such as Caltex. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of $ 25 in total statement credits per Card Member. The enrolled account must be active, in good standing and not in default to receive the statement credits. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 6/10/2019, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Chevron is pretty expensive gas in my parts (Southern California), but with the 10% off it will bring the price per gallon almost down to Costco or Sam’s Club gas prices.
One hint about how to get cheap gas: I always buy Kroger or Arco gift cards when there is an Am Ex deal at Lowe’s that lets me buy them for 10% cashback. Then, for instance, when I combine the Kroger fuel rewards and pay with the Kroger gift card I bought for 10% off it becomes the cheapest gas around by far.
