Utz, Bachman ‘All Natural’ Snacks Class Action Settlement

A $1.25 million Utz, Bachman class action settlement has been secured for consumers who challenged the snack makers’ claims that its chips, pretzels and pork rinds are “all natural.”
Class Members include those who purchased Utz and/or Bachman snack products labeled as “all natural” between Dec. 30, 2010 and March 30, 2019. Eligible products include:
Utz Branded Potato Chips
Utz Branded Baked Potato Chips
Utz Branded Pretzels
Utz Branded Popcorn
Utz Branded Tortillas
Utz Branded Snack Mixes
Utz Branded Salsas and Utz Dips
Utz Branded Cheese and Extruded Snacks
Utz Branded Pork Rinds
Bachman Branded Pretzels
Bachman Branded Potato Chips
Bachman Branded Tortilla Chips and Corn Chips
Bachman Branded Cheese Snacks
Bachman Branded Popcorn
Bachman Branded SalsaWho’s Eligible
Class Members include those who purchased eligible Utz or Bachman branded products between Dec. 30, 2010 and March 30, 2019.Potential Award
Up to $20.Class Members are expected to receive $2 per item purchased, up to $20 per household.
Proof of Purchase
Not required. However, the “Settlement Administrator has the right to request verification of the purchase of Eligible Products, including, but not limited to, documentation demonstrating purchase of any or all of the Eligible Products purchased during the Class Period. If a Class Member does not timely comply with and/or is unable to timely produce documentation to substantiate and/or verify the information on the Claim Form, the Claim shall be disqualified.”
