Kidde Recalls Fire Extinguishers with Plastic Handles

Official Recall Product Thread Request: Sometimes, there are important safety recalls that need to be posted, but I don’t know where to post them. Can a thread for this to be started? I’ll start with a new one.

Turns out I have two of these, one came with the house, and I found it was under a previous recall. The other I purchased for the kitchen/mechanical room area, and is under this current recall. I’ll be contacting Kidde.
ETA: They have an online form. I had to enter Model#, Serial # & date code. They are shipping me replacements, along with instructions of what to do with mine.

I just filled out the online form for an extinguisher dating back to the '70s. It looks like I’ll be getting a new one shipped to me.

I filled out online and they said they’re backordered.

Got the “backordered” email too. The new extinguisher arrived yesterday. They also supplied a shipping label to return the old one.
