You could have asked me to add your preferred stores to my title instead of reposting something I put lot of work into… the list of highlighted deals isn’t even that long/can be quickly scanned

You could have asked me to add your preferred stores to my title instead of reposting something I put lot of work into… the list of highlighted deals isn’t even that long/can be quickly scanned
The old rule at Fat Wallet was, if something really good is buried in a general thread, was okay to make a standalone post about it. that’s how I operated, was certainly not done to insult anyone.

For the record so everyone is clear, please note that that policy was intended for when you have additional meaningful information that “sweetens” a deal and discussing such additional information in the original thread would take the original thread off topic. It was never intended to allow you to strip out the best parts of someone else’s deal and post it as-is in your own thread… especially without even giving credit to the OP or upvoting the OP.
If you’re not creating a new enhanced/more profitable deal with something mentioned in the OP’s thread (e.g., stack 12% RTMN CB at OD + 20% off sitewide stacks with clearance break-room supplies), you’re supposed to just reply to the OP when only pointing out which part(s) of their deal is particularly hot and/or to add additional on-topic info. As previously mentioned, you can simply reply to the OP requesting the they highlight or bold and/or add certain retailers to their title. Note that If you think something is buried (even in a relatively short, easy to read list), simply replying very effectively draws a lot of attention/views compared to a thread with no replies/upvotes.
