I had the Happy Dining page open all afternoon and checked it promptly at 6:19pm ET, but nothing on the page had changed, so I didn’t know which time zone that starting time was for, @FiveTalents.
Came back an hour or so later to find the GC’s OOS.
This is my first time signing up for a waitlist…not sure what to expect…

I’m sorry that I forgot to include the time zone!!! Just ask if I do that again… I’m always happy to edit my posts for clarification when needed. FYI, if you had clicked on the first/top link with all of the offers on one page, it would have shown your local start times. It happens that we’re in the same (EST) time zone so, fortunately, that oversight on my part wasn’t what tripped you up.
I think maybe having the page open wasn’t enough… you probably needed to refresh/reload the page to see when the lightning deal went live/see the timer appear. I think you have to also reload the page to see the waitlist notification appear (on the product page where the “dd to cart” button normally is) that tells you if/when a spot on the waitlist opens up.
Once notified, the there is a timer that tells you how much time you have left to checkout (15 minutes IIRC) before someone else is given your spot on the waitlist. So if you left your computer or didn’t reload during that 15 minute window, you may never see your notification at all. I hate that about the waitlist… being chained to your computer refreshing your screen. I wish they had an account setting option to send you a text/app alert when your waitlist is approved.
