49-page Best Buy Black Friday ad scan
"Best Buy will be opening at 5PM on Thanksgiving, closing at 1AM Black Friday morning and then reopening again at 8AM on Black Friday. This seems to be a trend this year, but at least it gives you time to recharge your batteries!
Best Buy will be handing out tickets starting at 3PM on Thanksgiving for Doorbuster items so make sure you arrive early if there’s something you have your eye on. The ad also states that most of their Black Friday items will be available online, but there’s no guarantee. Their online sale starts sometime on Thanksgiving but they have yet to release a specific start time.

Have you ever used it before? I wasn’t aware discover had price protection and last time I did a return protection claim with them, I was less than impressed with the process.

I’ve heard of price protection program exclusions for Black Friday door buster prices so definitely carefully review and verify the terms for the credit card you pay with. If you get shot down, you may still have time to return it for a refund but you also lose any chance of getting the door buster during the sale.

@dangeruss yeah, I did it before with a TV from BestBuy, everything worked out OK, took about 6 weeks from submit to check in hand. You do lose the tax on the price difference, that’s not refundable (for me, $12 in tax, sure beats standing in line hoping to get TV).
