Hmmm… i went to use this credit at ebay and got this message:
“eBay have currently stopped paying cash back to all loyalty sites. TopCashback has made the decision to continue to pay cash back on selected categories for our loyal members, this is being funded by TopCashback and not eBay.”
Does TopCashback paying/funding eBay’s cash back mean we ignore the following terms and still get the $3 bonus?/:
- “Transactions with merchants paying 0% cashback and the following merchants are excluded”
- “To qualify for the Cash Back bonus the original transaction must be eligible for cash back”
I’m not going to risk it but am curious what others experienced/know about this.

When I used the $3 Bonus cashback offer for an eBay purchase 3 days ago, it did not have that verbiage. It said I would be earning 1% cashback on my toy order. However, as of yesterday I still do not see the $3 bonus nor the 1% cashback posted in my account (yet). The item has not shipped yet. I wonder if that makes any difference? The seller said shipping would be delayed due to Covid19.

TopCashback will not pay you the $3 bonus nor the 1% CB until your item ships because TopCashback doesn’t get paid until the transaction is complete. Once they get paid, bonuses and CB are automatically applied, barring any errors. You should qualify for the $3 bonus since you ordered before eBay changed its policy.
My hunch is that ebay got cocky with their increased business since COVID-19 stay at home orders… they feel they don’t need to compete so pulled CB. Foolish decision given how many sellers drop-ship through eBay (i.e., you can find many things cheaper elsewhere).

Maybe I should also do the Office Depot 100% back offer using the $3 link so if I don’t qualify through eBay I can qualify from my Office Depot purchase, I have had the worst luck actually getting these $3 offers. They almost never are automatically posting. I always have to get involved with customer service.

Sure, as long as it’s a good deal without the $3 (in case you get the $3 via your eBay order) and it’s something actually need/have use for.

Sure, as long as it’s a good deal without the $3 (in case you get the $3 via your eBay order) and it’s something actually need/have use for.
I just checked my topcashback account again and it now shows my eBay order with 1% cashback (even though it has not yet shipped) and my $3 bonus is showing up for that purchase. I just placed an Office Depot 100% back offer for batteries using the $3 link, but I am OK with not getting it as I got 10% off my order already from a Chase Offer I had. The 100% back offer is for Optimum batteries by Duracell. I want to try them and see if they are any better than the regular Duracell batteries.

I believe those account notes simply acknowledge that you made a purchase and they are tracking it for you. You are not guaranteed payment until the item ships.

The smoothest transaction I’ve ever had for this promo was buying wood pellets at Tractor Supply, $5.99/40 lbs. Ordered 2 online for local pick up. Received TCB tracking email. Picked them up. Had the $3 pending in TCB acct within a day.
