Wow read some reviews, they are not good. Apparently a lot of people have been getting empty/malfunctioning ones.
Kidde should stick to fire alarms.

Actually, I opted for First Alert brand smoke detectors for my house a few months ago (apparently you should replace those things every 8-10 years or so) because Kidde reviews were mixed. This May, Kidde announced a big recall even on those, soooo maybe Kidde should just stop making crappy emergency products period
