Good deal. I have been wanting to get updated numbers on my glucose and cholesterol levels. My next annual blood draw with my doctor is not for six more months, but this will be a good check to see how I am doing.

  • My Sams never had free vision or hearing screens. I guess they want people to pay for them.

    Health Screening FAQ’s

What is a medical screening test?

Health Screening Definition - A screening test to detect potential diseases and/or medical conditions before the presence of symptoms. Health Screening tests are very important and can find diseases early, when they’re easier and less expensive to treat.

Why is it important to do preventative screening?

The goal of a preventative screening is the early detection of an undiagnosed disease in individuals without symptoms or signs of any disease.

How often should I get a health screen?

With a couple of simple tests and physical examinations, you can detect the early onset of some serious medical conditions. Annual exams with your primary care physician, supplemented with regular health screenings, can help monitor any changes in your health.

Why do we do health screenings?

As we age, having a record of some basic, vital statistics can help detect the onset of some medical conditions like heart disease, diabetes and high cholesterol. You health is important and Sam’s Club provides resources to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle. Through free health screenings, the self-check health kiosk and our Pharmacy, Optical and Hearing Aid Center, Sam’s Club is here to help you live healthy.
