Can you explain how you get to $14.99? Does using Amex take off $15 and paying in part with Rewards take off an additional $20?

Sorry I guess I should also mention you need to be a prime member.

Yes, special offers are ads, but they’re really unobtrusive. They are only on the lock screen, so once you put in your password, they’re gone. I feel like they’re maybe too unobtrusive - if I see something I like, I’m not even sure how to get back to it.

@dangeruss Wow. I just did a search to chose a card, clicked on a link to apply and was approved all in less than a minute. Kinda scary. 10K pts if I spend $1000 in 3 mo isn’t a great sign up bonus but I might not be able to spend that much anyway.
