Don’t have a better place to post this so fwiw…
In the transition to eBates cash rebates from FatCash it seems like they didn’t share the mailing address for checks (based on my experience). This gave rise to the $2 maintenance fee. I just asked and got it restored in advance of a getting a check back for my full original cash back balance. I never really migrated to seeking getting eBates cash.

This is the company (Rakuten) that also took us for highly overpriced 3DConnect memory cards via Buy.com.

Exactly. I got stiffed for a lot of money during that fiasco about Buy.com not paying up on any of the rebates.
