What’s this button do? BOOOM!

What are the check marks when you click on a thread’s circle to the left of the screen? You can check multiple threads, but for the life of me I can’t figure out what they are for.

I can’t even see what you’re talking about @fasttimes (including on Mac and mobile). Can you post a screen shot, and state you operating system and browser?

I’m a mod and I only see what @noribei sees on android mobile, Firefox PC, Chrome PC, and Firefox Mac.

Mouse over the icon and then you’ll see the check mark in the circle. At least that’s the only time I see it. I presume it is to either follow the OP or that thread, but haven’t taken the time yet to figure it out.

I’m not a moderator, but I do have that option in the ‘Unread’ screen. I can click on topics, get the little green selection check mark and then from the ‘Mark As Read’ drop down, choose to ‘Mark Selected’ as read. It looks like even mods cannot, but I would very much like to be able to select and mark a topic or all topics as read on the individual category page, not just the Unread page too. I’m old fashioned I guess and prefer to read a category at a time, not that newfangled ‘Unread’ page.

Thanks, but that’s not exactly what I’m asking. I don’t want to derail this, and it isn’t really important, so I’ll start another thread if I change my mind.
