@fivetalents https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.io .io is a top level domain, like .com. .org, etc. These were allowed on FW, so I assumed it was okay here. Fresh Step uses frsh.stp.io/stringofnumbers&letters & freshstep.com/nameofpage. This is different than link shortening services like TinyURL & Bit.ly

You are correct, updated post. It was on the KFR Fb page, and it didn’t say.

RE: Free Sample from Cantu Beauty Men’s Collection - Facebook
Link in post just took you to their FB page. Wasn’t sure if the problem was PW or FB that did that. Clicking on the actual FB post will give you a more direct route with a specific URL (that string of numbers at the end). FB has a habit of changing the order of posts, so even though the freebie may have been at the top, it got moved/changed by either FB or Cantu.
This is why it’s better to click on the offer, to open up a new page, and get a more direct link - avoids a problem if the order of posts (or highlighted ones) change. If you click on the post, and you see an URL in the address bar with that string of numbers at the end, you have a direct link to the post. c&p and you should be good to go. FB can be fickle.

Please use the add-a link-function (Linking chain symbol), instead of c&p long links in a post. They almost always break. It only takes a few seconds to use the add-a-link function. You can give it a name, or simply say something like “click here” or “link”.
Please note that @dangeRuss does not want links posted using the linking tool, but wants them copied and pasted to allow the auto-insertion of pictures and product/website blurbs to work. If copying and pasting is causing links to break, he definitely needs to look into that since he doesn’t want us to use the link tool for links to deals.
Not that I don’t want people using it, more of you should try it without using the link tool first and see if it gives a better experience. If the link by itself doesn’t provide a better experience (LInks with _ in them break for example), then by all means use the link tool. Or for any other reason. I just want people to be aware of the iframely plugin and that it will provide a better experience most of the time.
Thanks you for the clarification, as I was somewhat confused regarding the use of the add a link feature. That feature was used on FW, and I see it being used in HD by many. Wasn’t aware that c&p somehow allowed insertion of other content. I just add my own pics to posts I make using the picture or upload image tools.

@mistercheap I was wondering why it was moved to HD, though that wasn’t part of the discussion, so thanks for explaining that.

RE: Fake Freebies
en dot pkpmegatex dot com is a manufacturers website for dental equipment. They don’t make dental floss, and the free dental floss sample offer (Megatex) floating around the freebie boards is mentioned nowhere on their website. They also are a business selling supplies to another business, not consumers. This is obviously a website hack.
