Thanks for the info. Looks like I should drop off a dead alkaline battery or two today when I pass by Staples! I recycled last week but it sounds like it’s definitely worth trying again since the offer is still showing in my app.

Today I brought in a (probably FAR) CompUSA USB Wifi adapter stick. I had to explain to the young associate what it was. Ahh memories.

Went to Walgreen’s today to find a couple Mother’s Day cards and got severe sticker shock. The cards were all around $6 each!! There was one section of cards for $2.50 but that did not have any Mother’s Day cards.

I’ve been buying my cards at Dollar Tree, where they haven’t even inflated the prices to $1.25, they are still $1 each (or 2/$1 from the cheap section). I gave up on Walgreen’s and went to Dollar Tree, where I found two very nice cards.

Did anyone have better luck than I did at Walgreen’s?

I’ve heard the formulations are not quite the same. I’m actually not that picky about mayo, but I was just a bit curious to see for myself, given the opportunity.

I put this in my subscriptions last week. I’m curious to find out if Best Foods mayo really is the same as Hellmann’s.

I don’t understand what they are doing at all, either. I posted earlier in this thread that the amount of ink recycling they were offering me changed from the original 10 for 100 points each to 15 for 400 points. And now they are offering me 30 for 400. I am not in the recycling game in general (maybe their motivation?) and only recycled some this month because I happened to run out of toner recently, and someone passed a few more on to me. I don’t have Plus. I used to shop at Staples a lot more, mostly clearance deals when they were real deals in the old days (luckily I didn’t give away all my free cases of paper and kept a few), but only shop occasionally now, mostly when I can stack coupons and tech recycling rewards to buy things like paper towels and toilet paper.

It would definitely be better if they were clear about the program and not offering so many different permutations to different people.

I recycled alkaline batteries a few hours ago and got the 1000 points already.

The people in the store, this time and last week when I recycled ink/toner, insisted that the tech recycling program never ended and will keep going (regardless of my telling them that it was clearly no longer on the website last week). So hopefully despite their apparent misinformation regarding what is being told to customers, it will continue beyond 4/20.

Isn’t April Earth month (or at least contains Earth Day). Seems a strange time to cancel a recycling program. Hopefully they’ll restart it soon in some form.

I used whichever one is available on the Ninite.com software page. If you’re not aware, Ninite is a great, safe way to load many kinds of free software all at once. I use it every time I get a new computer or need to load something on someone else’s.
