Got mine yesterday as well. I set it up, and man that app is HURTING. Convoluted Wifi setup. It sounds alright…I guess. The subwoofer needs some adjustment, which you can do in the app, and overall the sound quality wasn’t amazing but that was just streaming a song from my phone. Perhaps I need to get it hooked up to the Apple TV and play some Vue content through it. So far: unimpressed for $400. I’d be pissed if I spent $1000 on this thing, which is MSRP.

@dtasfab while I do agree, some people view ROTH IRA contributions as their emergency fund. You can let the money earn some gains, but then withdraw the contributions if you ever really need to. I am not a fan of emergency funds, but if I was, this is how I’d do it. Just another take on it, because it’s not so black and white. A lot of people do contribute, knowing they’ll possibly withdraw and can’t put the money back in, and are “ok” with that.

I do not believe you can do that. However, you can “Watch” a topic, which then you can click your Unread/Inbox icon (second from the left) on the top menu bar. Then, you can select to view Watched topics only. They will show in this filter list if there are any new replies since you last visited them.

I know it’s not as straightforward as FW was, but this should work for now. Basically, it’ll give you a “favorites” list of threads that you can quickly see if there are any updates on, across all forums.

@MrsGuin the way stickies/pins work, is the entire thread is pinned to the top of the thread list, of a forum. Those threads are already pinned. All you need to do is edit the first post, if you’re the one who created the threads, and that can be your “intro” since it’s the first post. Unfortunately, pinning a post in a thread isn’t possible. We are, however, working on a wiki/quick summary solution which would grant you that ability.

Edit; it looks like you have the second post in each thread. For now, I would modify that as you see fit, and stay tuned for the wiki functionality.

Are these any good, though? I have a whole humidor of Aurtoro Fuentes that I let go dry because I neglected my humidor. I would love to restock, but I find that if the sticks I buy aren’t great, I let them dry out again.

Can I recover my AFs, after a couple years of dry?

@mastroadam I believe other TV brands have ATMOS capability too. Or perhaps I read that some other brands have some ATMOS TVs in the works. Regardless, I have read mixed reviews but most are positive. It seems that, like any soundbar, the surround effect is minimal, but sound delivery is pretty good. I like that I can now hide a subwoofer behind the couch instead of next to my receiver. Of course, I could have always hidden it behind the couch, but that involves running wires, which is the same reason I haven’t setup the rear surround speakers yet. This should do the trick.

I see. Strange, I’ve never had a need for that on a forum before, since I cared about replies more than original thread dates. For instance, some of those long ass threads on FWF date back a decade, but get regular replies. If I filtered how you wanted it, that thread (although it had new replies) would be at the bottom of the list. I will take a look into it, while I am looking at some plugins as well. I’ll get back to you!

Is this any good, and is the price any good? I am in the market, to replace my 5.1 system (too lazy to mount the rears in our new place). It’s kid shows and/or youtube on about 95% of the time these days anyway. Is $400 really worth it, or is a $100 sound bar just as good?

@ma-barker I actually got shut down by chat folks for my wife’s recent 3rd card and accelerating the cash back that is pending. Statement just cut yesterday, and I’m expecting about $1500 to post, then the other $1000 to post October 24. But anyway, when I chatted in recently, they told me they already accommodated my request on my other card and won’t expedite the rewards on my new card. I backed off after a couple of tries with different reps.

@ma-barker I agree. CB is much simpler these days. I’ve just been on the OBC grind for a while. I think we have seven unique OBCs between my wife and I. That’s about $1200 in net CB the easy way, and closer to $2000 the hard way, per card. I do one card per month, and that is our grocery budget for the year.
