DH and I haven’t received our $200 bonus for accounts we opened using S817 code. Both of us have completed the $20K deposit and we’re just waiting on bonus to post on or before 10/30 per terms. We plan to open the AAA after receiving bonus on the savings; we’re transferring main bulk of the $20k to our bank hub so it’ll be new money when it’s deposited to AAA by Nov 15. Will also try later for the AAII bonus.

I now have a huge credit balance on my account. I don’t know if CFP will be able to reconcile this on their records and I tried to contact them but can’t get hold of a live person so all I can do it wait for them to make the necessary corrections. If someone experienced the same thing, did the “gift” stick?

Yes, the last batch expired yesterday and I used them to get free stuff. I was hoping there’s another set for October but was surprised Kohl’s is not even listed as a participating merchant? Did the card noticed these were being traded in some websites? I’ll definitely miss this freebie if it goes away. I hope this is just a glitch and we’ll see it early October.

I shared another tried n tested MS venue posted under Grocery/DS deals. Go check it if interested but hurry since exp date is 9/30 but hopefully, it gets extended. It worked for up to $2000 fee-free.

Here’s another thing I’ve been doing even before this breach came about. I put a verbal PW that is separate from my written PW on each of our accounts. I thought of this years ago so that if anyone called to ask information about my account(s), a prompt on the rep’s screen will come up asking for a PW before they proceed to give information. It’s easy to do this, pick up the phone right now if you have not set a verbal PW on all your accounts; the inconvinience of the rep asking you for it prior to giving info is very minimal, but benefits are priceless. Do it now!

*make sure your PW is a word that’s not commonly used, you can tell it to your SO/spouse/person you trust and NO one else.

The last $10/$30 KCs expired yesterday so I checked today for new batch of KCs and Kohl’s is not even listed under participating merchants. Is it just me?

I am a CC and bank sign-up bonus churner so I’m not inclined to freeze n thaw all the time, I am losing a lot of opportunities by doing so. I feel violated by this recent massive breach but remind myself that anger will get me nowhere. I must stay compose all the time so I can think clearly while keeping in mind to make all my communications with companies short, firm and straight to the point. This frame of mind has worked for me a lot of times without having to burn bridges and losing opportunities.
