RE: Free Pc Games "Enter the Gungeon" (Reg. $15) & "God's Trigger" (Reg. $15) @ Epic Games- Claim by 8/27
I snagged Enter the Gungeon the last time it was free on Epic, and it was an unexpectedly addictive delight. After many hours of mastering the roguelike masterpiece I uninstalled it out of self-preservation (I was staying up way too late playing it, lol). Then after cooling it a few months I reinstalled it to finish off every last bit of content (I HAD to get proficient at smoking the Resourceful Rat, he was simply too infuriating to let live). Worth every minute of my time.

EXPIRED
Kindle Editions 1-7 of the Cradle Series are free again at the moment, I’m guessing because Wintersteel (#8) just released today.
I didn’t expect much when I first picked up these books since they seem to be up for free a few times a year, but I couldn’t put them down, burned through the whole series in no time. Very entertaining reads that always kept me craving more. My advice is to pick them up if you haven’t already, I just bought the new release without hesitation myself. Excited to get around to Wight’s other series eventually.

RE: 4-Channel 1080p DVR Security Camera System 2 Wired Enforcer Bullet Cameras $214.29 @ homedepot - F/S exp unk
Swann makes a good product, but in my opinion there’s no reason to buy 1080p systems anymore unless you’re using them indoors (short range) only. If using outdoors I’d be looking for a 4K-equivalent DVR these days.

RE: Pancake Recipes: Easy and from Scratch Kindle Edition - FREE - exp soon
So uhh, I’ve been subjected to many pancake recipes over the years, and this is the one our household has stuck with since my wife stumbled on it some years ago. She has, in fact, promised to make me these very pancakes tomorrow morning. Just a little humble brag and a little tidbit for any fellow pancake enthusiasts looking at this 'ere recipe book.
Pro tip - The secret to getting the most out of the recipe is to make way too many and freeze some so every day can be a pancake day.

RE: EXPIRED -Free Pc Games "Tomb Raider Trilogy" (reg. $90) @ Epic Games- Claim by 1/6
@dionaea I had never actually purchased any Tomb Raider games until this iteration, and only bought the first because of a random article I read that made it sound incredible at the time. I had no regrets, enjoyed the fist one immensely and have always kinda waited for an irresistible deal to get more. Looks like it’s a good thing I waited Looking forward to these for sure.

Sanderson’s one of my absolute favorite authors! This book will give you a decent taste of his writing style, and though it’s technically the 4th book in a series it should be solid by itself. Dude always wraps up a book nicely with usually only minor cliffhangers. -

RE: Upcoming Offer: LEGO 60th Anniversary Exclusive Bundle: LEGO Classic Creative Building Set 10702 & Sand Baseplate $5.65 in-store on Feb 3rd, 7th and 11th @ Walmart
Yeesh. In case anyone else is having problems buying this bundle, the chat support isn’t any help. They are throwing me canned responses in broken English saying to use the In-Stock alerts on the website and to try again later. Citing website problems but as a former chat support tech myself, it sounds like they’re making crap up to get you off their chat (which is blowing up at the time of this writing, long wait times).
Curiously, the second person I spoke to said to check on the 6th and NOT the 7th, and was adamant about it. Seems odd, but good luck!

RE: Dash Rapid Egg Cooker, Black $16.99 @Amazon
@dangeruss
I got one of these bad boys for $5 during a Kohl’s Black Friday thing. Worth every penny at this price as well as far as I’m concerned. It boils eggs much more quickly and efficiently than other methods, takes all the guess work out of it. Only complaint would be that you have to really stay on top of cleaning the heating plate. You can wait for a cheaper price if uncertain, but I would stand by the quality of this thing. -

Wouldn’t this also be FAR (redwood stain)? That stain seems to be the only other FAR item I could find, though. -
RE: WD Blue 3D NAND 500GB PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s 2.5"/7mm Solid State Drive - WDS500G2B0A $77 Shipped Amazon

@ctgolfer Appreciate the heads-up! Just snagged the 85-pc Axess set, belt sander and angle grinder. I’ll be able to retire some inferior tools that have been bogging me down. My wife won’t be happy, but it’s hard to argue with “free” tools!!!

SteelSeries Stratus XL, Bluetooth Wireless Gaming Controller for Windows + Android, $28.95 @ Amazon
Lowest Price ever according to CCC. Been keeping an eye on one for a while and decided to finally pull the trigger on it (pun intended), despite somewhat mixed reviews (which frequently seem to be user error). Most people complained about issues with Win 10, but I plan on using it for Android only. Grabbed the extra 4-year protection plan for an extra ~$1.50 for peace of mind. From what little research I’ve done, this is considered one of the best-quality and most reliable Bluetooth Android controllers.

RE: Stanley 69-Piece Black Chrome and Laser Etched Socket Set with Bonus FATMAX 6 ft. x 1/2 in. Keychain Pocket Tape Measure $29 @ Home Depot
@gremln007 In my opinion, this wouldn’t be a very practical general purpose set. I had something similar to this (link) that was amazing for me going through college and when I moved into my own house. Even used it to build the arch for my wedding. While this is a very nice socket set, sockets are rarely needed for your average Joe homeowner. Some channel locks can get the same job done, usually. I’ve also had a really good experience with a Black & Decker set like this (link). Just my two cents, hope it helps

RE: Assassins Creed: Odyssey FREE on PC for Project Stream Beta Users
Figured I’d weigh in on this, since I’ve been playing the game this way for a few months. It has been an awesome experience.
I’ve had no lag, encountered very few bugs and those were mostly cosmetic issues that made me laugh out loud. The map for this game is absolutely obnoxiously large in the best possible way. I’ve got almost 200 hours in my game and still haven’t explored all the areas of interest, though it’s not necessary to do so for the sake of the story. Since I don’t have a modern day game console but do have a fairly solid PC, this was the closest I’ve been to a PS4-type experience. Definitely will be keeping an eye on this Stream-style gaming method in the future.

RE: 1-4 FREE Lindt Lindor Chocolate At Target w/Coupon
I’m probably barking up the wrong tree, but I hate that this site forces you to provide your personal information (phone number) before allowing you to print anything, and I’ve found no way to circumvent it. I’m leery since I already get 10+ spam calls a week on my mobile and I’d really rather not salt that particular wound. Even gone so far as to make an alternate phone number with Google Voice and they still won’t bite. Any other way to print these things?

RE: Ozark Trail Frame Lock Knife or Flip Opening Knife $1.00 @ Walmart B&M
@midori said in Ozark Trail Frame Lock Knife or Flip Opening Knife $1.00 @ Walmart B&M:
Wouldn’t trust it for an EDC, but for a buck it’d be great for a tool box or ten.
Picked up the last one at my nearest Walmart. Pleasantly surprised by the build quality, it seems evident to me that they attempted to copy Kershaw’s style which isn’t a bad idea. Knife was sharp enough out of the package to shave the hair on the back of my hand, and it seems sturdy. Certainly worth the dollar price tag.

RE: PC Digital Download - Thimbleweed Park - Feb 21 - Mar 7
@dionaea I used the Epic launcher to play Subnautica when it was also offered for free (terrific game btw). The Epic launcher seems much more streamlined that Steam or Origin, quick to launch and navigate. I really enjoyed its simplicity, and only ran it when I wanted to play the game (I do think I had to change the option for it to remain off unless I launched a game that needed it, it launched on Startup by default I believe). No issues so far.

RE: Easy Spirit Women's Select Leather Shoes (various) $5 + Free Shipping
Yeah I figure if the sizing is off or something you could always toss 'em on OfferUp or something and I’m sure you’d get your $5 back easy. I wouldn’t even try to return 'em with that track record.

RE: BLACK+DECKER 20-Volt MAX Lithium Cordless Drill (BCD702C2BWM) + 2 Batteries $39.88 With Pick Up @ Walmart.com
@ukedog said in BLACK+DECKER 20-Volt MAX Lithium Cordless Drill (BCD702C2BWM) + 2 Batteries $39.88 With Pick Up @ Walmart.com:
A deal if you can use a nice drill and already have B&D 20V tools like weedeater, hedge trimmer, etc that use the same batteries. I’m a fan of B&D 20V stuff, and my similar B&D 20V drill is on year 3 of regular use. Do I use it to drill 1/2" holes in concrete, or screw down 350 sq ft of deck boards? No. But I’d reach for it for just about everything else.
I’ll back this guy. I use the 20v cordless trimmers and I get worn down before the battery does. I’ve had older B&D stuff before as well and it still runs and works. I have Milwaukee tools now but I would have no problem using B&D tools again.

RE: Greenmade Storage Tote, 27 Gallons, 30 15/16"L x 20 5/16"W x 14 9/16"H, Black $8 STORE PICK UP ONLY Office Depot
Decent price for these things. They are incredibly solid. I recently purchased some similar-looking HDX brand boxes from Home Depot and they don’t come close to the quality of the Greenmade ones. The HDX ones have a lot of imperfections and leftover dangly bits from the manufacturing process that are noticeably absent in the Greenmade.

RE: LectroFan Sleep Machines - Sound+Sleep ( Factory Reconditioned ) $14.99 - $41.99 Shipped Free With Prime @ WOOT
I had considered buying another sound machine until I stumbled upon this little app on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.metapps.naturesounds
I now have it on my phone and Kindle and the kids are napping with it playing in the background at this very moment. Very calming sounds with a ton of variety and control, and of course it’s FREE if you’re into that kind of thing . I wouldn’t have survived our cross-country trip without it.
