Last year, I bought a OBi200 as a backup. But since my old model 110 is working fine and we need only 1 line in my family, I see no need to “upgrade” to the newer box. Why fix something that’s not broken?
Note that I have high speed internet from a DSL service provider (i.e. from a telephone company) but I do not subscribe to their telephone service (which would cost me $20 a month additional if I do). Their internet signal comes in from line 1 (or, L1) of the typical 2-line telephone wire, I use “telephone line separator” to send the output of the OBi box to my home phones on line 2 (or, L2). Thus, all calls to our home phone are routed via Google Voice and our OBi box.
