RE: Free AARP membership from Walgreens wyb $15 of qualifying Walgreens products
@barrytuneup And whatever you do, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR ACTUAL PHONE NUMBER!
And yes, I learned this one the hard way! -
RE: Lowes YMMV forum for in-store deals
Iris Touch Screen Programmable Thermostat, Model #CT-101-L, $14 or less YMMV (from $69.99), Lowe’s #388565
Z-Wave based, made by Radio Thermostat, requires Iris hub or similar (according to reviews, works fine with Smartthings hub)
There’s quite a few Lowe’s stores that may have for this price or even less–e.g. $2.80 at the Epping NH storeHowever, I’m not seeing free shipping for units that cost less than what you can buy it from (on sale) at The Smartest House (here).

RE: HIGH YMMV Sears Coupon: $10 off Purchases of $10+ on Regular or Sale Priced Clothing, Accessories, Lingerie, Sleepwear or Footwear
Sears is pulling out all the stops with their “self-liquidation” process!
Shouldn’t be much stock left when they finally turn things over to the “professional liquidators”
(lots of big yellow signs screaming “nn % OFF”) -
RE: Lowes YMMV forum for in-store deals
@ohsheet AcuRite Portable Lightning Detector, $4.98 (was $30) Big YMMV, Lowe’s Item #771480
Shocking Deal!
brickseek
Does all kinds of stuff, requires two AAA batteries (not included), has a belt clip so you can parade around wearing it even – take that Ben Franklin!

RE: Lowes YMMV forum for in-store deals
@itsfriday I also expect a change on the free shipping, especially if Lowe’s has anybody analyzing the profitability of sales that involve packing and shipping clearance items for free. Often heavy items too (e.g. hammers) costing only a couple of dollars. And not just economy shipping either, but FedEx two day–at least that’s how it’s worked out for me. Not a sustainable business model if applied on any appreciable scale!
Then again, Lowe’s is such a giant corporation now with so many stores (over 2,000 in the U.S. alone) that I suspect it has outgrown much of its management reach, and stuff like this is tolerable as long as walk-in business pays for it. However, if they are really committed about becoming an online retailer (with store pickup), they have some serious work remaining to improve: a)-online inventory accuracy, b)-store pickup staffing, c)-online order communications

RE: SYWR Points Back with Purchase Offers Thread
@mrvietnam Coupon SEARS5OFF50 gets you $5 off $50. So putting $50+ worth of clothes in your cart, then applying that coupon, reduces your out-of-pocket to $45 or so (in order to get that $45 back in points in 3 installments). You could apply existing SYWR points to the order too, say if your clothes order was well over $45 after the coupon, but just make sure that your out-of-pocket (before tax) is at least $45 if you want all those bonus points.

RE: SYWR Points Back with Purchase Offers Thread
@mrvietnam I noticed Sears is taking an additional 20% off today and tomorrow (Family & Friends sale), so if you were on the fence about the SYWR $45-back-on-$45-of-clothes online offer, you might want to check it out. Both offers last through tomorrow…
Edit (also): topcashback.com offers 8% back at sears.com; coupon code SEARS5OFF50 seems to be working
