@toooldtooslow Not sure. I was advised by SacBee that is was a random automated pick by the computer (You guys may better understand than I do). The 1 time I won something, I had entered everyday for the entire duration of the particular prize I wanted. I never won anything since then using that same strategy.

B95.5 Use — on mobile site for the back to work perk

I have noticed that many types of “points” sites have reduced and changed their offerings, making it more difficult to rack up points. It COULD be that it is due to the overall economy being better (not quite sure where). Things really popped when we were having rougher times. This is just my assumption and you all know what that means.

Has anyone noticed if there is a new point opportunity on B95.5 to replace the weekly 5k and 1k points yet?

In case anyone else wants to know… The Returning Bonus Code goes out in an email to members that have not participated in any activities on the Rewards site for more than 30 days.

Did anyone see a weekly e-mail code in the weekly e-mail, or have they discontinued that as well. I read it, but did not see anything.

@karinjel I get them 99% of the time. I usually “read” 7-9. Takes a while to show up.

I have to log in occasionally. I wish that you could redeem multiple points vs having to do each one individually. Now THAT is a pain in the butt. I have only won something once. Amazes me how many people when multiple prizes.

If anyone gets an explanation from the Bee as to why they are reducing point opportunities, please share. I am sure it is easier on them. I noticed Remy’s comment on Facebook, but do not recall reading that anywhere. I usually scan my e-mails pretty thoroughly.

Here is the reply I received…

The bonus word in the Friday Tickets has been discontinued. Last week was the last one to go out. We will continue the Daily Bonus code in the paper as well as the Facebook Code, Newsletter and Holiday Codes.

And while I am ranting. Another price increase. I truly believe they are trying to get rid of print subscribers. I don’t go to Starbucks, so it’s not like I can buy 1 less cup of coffee a month. And their delivery sucks. At least twice a week our paper is tossed under my car even to the point we have to move the vehicle to get the paper. (or use a super long stick). Grrrrrrrrr!

Anyone have any ideas on why SacBee removed FB as a means of sharing articles?
