Basically, the more appliances you buy close to the $396 price point, the larger your savings. 2 = 6.3%, 3 = 8.4%, 4 = 12.6%, 5 = 15.1%, and 6 = 18.9% (less on more than 6)
Compared to Home Depot, which requires a $498 spend per appliance, you not only have less to get the bonus discount at Lowe’s, the percentages of the discounts are higher at Lowes. The benefit of Home Depot is that you get an instant discount whereas Lowes’ is a rebate in the form of a Lowes GC. However, you also have to factor in comparable quality, features, manufacturer, and/or model numbers as applicable (e.g., bonus is capped at 10% for some brands at Lowes). Home Depot may or may not price match, but HD excludes many types of appliances and brands that Lowes does not. Home Depot does not exclude clearance items unlike Lowes.
