Even though the coupon does not specificly mention that the $40 must be in advertised items, I just got an e-mail from Rite Aid and it says it has to be advertised items, so I would assume your $40 spend has to consist of only items in the weekly ad.

If you have Bonus Cash soon expiring (i.e., from Black Friday weekend) this seems to be a good time to use some of it up, not only will you get 20% off the regular price with Gold, then wyb $40 you would effectively get another 25% off after this $10 BC offer. So pretty much you are getting 45% off regular prices on items in this week’s ad and some of the items have their own separate BC deals too making the savings even more.

Given the wording in the ad, they are going to run into problems if they enforce that ‘items listed in the ad’ only, doesn’t say that anywhere on the Q wording.

True, if you escalated it and called or chatted with customer service I bet they would give you the $10. But if my “Spidey sense” is right I would think they are running it like they ran the Black Friday promo and only ad items would count, especially with the e-mail blast this morning from Rite Aid that says it is goof on advertised items.

Here is the fine print from the e-mail blast:

Advertised specials only available at Rite Aid stores and valid December 15 - December 21 unless otherwise noted. wellness+ card required. Selection may vary by store. Offers may not be combined and are not valid on Excluded Items* Additional exclusions and limitations may apply.

If you are in need of any more Christmas presents for your young children (if you have any), toys are 50% off regular retail this week. Might make for some good deals on toys when paired with the $10 off $40 on in-ad items coupon this week. Although admittedly many of the toys they sell are of pretty cheap quality.

MM scenario If you have Gold and haven’t done the $5 BC Covergirl Foundation/$3 BC Lipstick Monthly deal (both are limit 2). Combine with Weekly $5 wyb 2 eye/lip offer and $10/$40. The only issue is that the foundation and lip mq are still beeping. Both were in the new packaging. I got 2 of the mascara with the old packaging and the mq for those did not beep. Depending on your stores prices you may need a filler. My total ended up being $39.64 so I threw in a can of ravioli. Also, $10/$40 is definitely limit 1. Receipt says limit reached.

    Bought:
    2 Covergirl Trublend Matte Made Foundation(bogo50) $16.48 - $2 mq - $2 mq
    2 Covergirl Exhibitionist Colorlicious Lipstick $13.58 - $1 mq - $1 mq
    2 Covergirl Professional Mascara $9.58 - $2 mq - $2 mq
    1 Ravioli $1.19

    Total: $40.83 - $10 mq = $30.83
    Got back: $36 BC ($10 = $10/$40, $10 = Covergirl Foundation Monthly, $10 = Covergirl Eye/Lip Weekly, $6 Covergirl Lip Monthly)
