@mistercheap Be careful with petsmart. They had this promotion recently. I tried to buy $300 worth of cards. Paid with debit card that had a 4 figure available balance. The transaction went thru on the card issuer side, but 10 minutes after the promo expired petsmart cancelled it. Refused to tell me why, claimed for the “safety and security of the customer” (that would be ME), they could not tell ME why they cancelled. Real outstanding, reputable company.

sorry that happened, I don’t use debit cards, don’t trust them. bought a card but used credit. Already got the link to get the EGC and downloaded/saved the PDF of it.

Sorry, debit cards do not offer the same consumer protections as credit cards. Google the differences, I absolutely refuse to use debit cards for that reason.

@mistercheap It’s a special acct my bank offers. When you want to pay bills, purchase, etc, you transfer a specific amt from your regular bank acct to this acct. Pay. Transfer anything remaining back to your regular acct. You can do it in a matter of minutes. No one has any access to your regular acct, and no money remains in the special acct.

But do you earn rewards? I get 5% back on many CC purchases I make. Not to mention things like Amex Offers and offers in my Visa cards.
