Most merchants have discontinued allowing their own GC’s to be used to purchase 3rd-party GC’s, @fatwking.
Best Buy is reported as being a rare exception, and still allows customers to select from and purchase ca. 40 specialty GC’s with a Best Buy GC, including eBay, Disney, Kohl’s, Netflix, iTunes, Google Play, Hulu, Fandango, Gap, Nordstorm, Crate & Barrel, Uber…

@kohlspowrshopper We had a thread on FW about merchants that still permit their own gc to be used to buy 3rd party gc.
I have a list of what’s available at my closest BB. I got $400 in Mobil, Shell & Panera using BB gc last month.
Haven’t done it in more than 6 months but I used to be able to get gas, Staples, Amazon, etc at Sears & KM using Sears gc.

I spent about half an hour in the archives trying to find it, but kept getting error messages from the host whenever I tried to do a keyword search.

You’re welcome @KohlsPowrShopper. Unfortunately, it seems that to find any FW threads on the Way Back Machine you need to know the URL of the FW thread and use that as the search word. That makes no sense to me whatsoever. Fortunately, I just happened to have saved a reply to that thread in my email account, so I was able to pull it up easily.
ETA: that “long list” got a lot shorter over time, with Best Buy being the most reliable and comprehensive option at the moment as mentioned earlier.
