Hi Melody, thanks for posting. Please add the name of the store/site to the title.

Extra clippable coupon on most items

I really hate it when people post deals without the store info. I DO NOT shop at Amazon so opening this thread to find it is Amazon is a total waste of my time.

If you don’t mind my asking, why do you not shop @ Amazon?

For most items I can get better deals coupon shopping and I refuse to pay shipping or pay for free shipping.

I highly doubt that. Yes for a lot of consumables you can find a better price locally with coupons. But a lot of bigger ticket items I think you can only find a good price online (and you get free shipping with orders over $25 at Amazon even without Prime).
I know the price of Prime can be a tough pill to swallow, but if you can get a student account, it’s not so bad at $50, or maybe you can have someone add you to theirs (although seems like now they are letting the accounts share payment information, which is less than ideal). You also get some goodies with Prime such as Prime Video. I can’t say I watch a ton of stuff on there, but there’s definitely a few worthy shows. And when you add in the saving for Subscribe and Save (sure there are some items that you can get cheaper locally with coupons, but there are a lot that you would be hard pressed to find a better price locally), it really begins to be worth it.

I was polite with my answer. I don’t need a lecture.
I do not shop Amazon. Bottom line. I will down vote any posts that does not disclose the store. Happy now?

I do agree with you that store name should be part of the thread title so that people who do not shop at that store for whatever reason can ignore them.
@melody Please add the store name to your posts in the future. Don’t irritate the users and create more work for mods by leaving it out.

For the most part @dangeRuss I have to agree with @CouponClippen on how I view Amazon. While I have no problem buying things from Amazon that are as good a price or cheaper than what I can pay either locally elsewhere or online elsewhere, I have never once, paid for the annual prime membership. I have used their 30 day free Prime trials, which work out great when I’ve gotten them during holiday season, but I just can’t justify the $99 or even $79 on a deal price for Prime.
You mention ‘big ticket’ items, #1 true, you don’t need Prime for those to get free shipping but for electronics I’ve done just as well if not better at Best Buy, OD or Staples on computers, phones, etc. Amazon returns are not convenient to me and often times you have to pay to ship an item back or make phone calls, etc to facilitate the return. I buy a computer at Staples.com, if I change my mind or don’t like it, I take the box to my store 2 miles away and return it, get my money back. Nothing to box up or ship back. Not to mention, I often have discounted gift card offers and/or rewards to apply towards these items PLUS the cashback I get from shopping portals. Getting discounted AMZ gift cards is a much rarer opportunity than stores with traditional B&M/online set ups and cashback at AMZ is not offered on electronics to my knowledge.
As with many deal situations, one size doesn’t fit all. I live in an area where coupons are doubled at grocery stores, have many shopping choices and competitive prices locally. I get 400 cable channels, NETFLIX and barely have time to watch the stuff I already have, let alone AMZ videos.

With Kmart/Sears giving me free ‘cash’ everytime I log in I don’t need to spend money!
Our stores don’t double coupons anymore but with ‘sales’ we stay well stocked up.
Free toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, etc at the drug stores has our stockpile well STOCKED!
Staples provides for most ‘office’ related items including just bought a refurb Windows 10 computer for under $90.

I hear that… Was able to use over $100 in freecash (over multiple accounts), but ended up spending way too much time in Sears. I love getting free stuff from them, but I feel like I’m wasting too much time in the stores to get it. I feel like I would rather just order it online and have it appear on my doorstep.
The one thing I agree with you all is about food. I feel like even with all the food delivery services available, I’m not willing to pay so much for delivery fees and I can get better sales locally for most items. I’m hoping that with the acquisition of WholeFoods, Amazon starts carrying some of the things that I have to drive to WholeFoods for and having better deals overall, but I’m not holding my breath.

Never step foot in Sears/Kmart except to pick up my orders.

Never step foot in Sears/Kmart except to pick up my orders.
I feel like ordering online is even worse. Last time I ordered from Sears, I ordered at noon on Saturday, and the order wasn’t able to be picked up until Mon (they’re closed on Sun).
Combined with the slowness of their site, I feel like it’s easier to just go into the store and pick stuff, even if it does end up being a bit of a PITA.
I swore off Kmart/Sears a while ago as it was wasting up too much time, but with the recent $30 per acct FREECASH offers they’ve lured me back.
Even then I had trouble using stuff… I had $10 for tools and no matter what I tried to buy it didn’t work. Managers were no help, they called ShopYourWay who told me that the $10 is only good on 2 items (I don’t remember their names, but they didn’t sound cheap).
This is one reason that I love Amazon so much… if anything goes wrong, they are quick to offer a concession. If you order an item (like the free Gundt Holiday Bear), and even if they offer you one day shipping (even though you’re only supposed to get 2 day shipping with Prime), and the item is late, they give you a month of Prime for free (basically extend your prime membership by a month), or in my case, with a student account, that wouldn’t be worth it, so they give me a $5 GC instead.
With the amount of concessions I get, it’s like I never have to pay for Prime, or at least it gets even more discounted than it already was with the student membership.
I miss the HD/Lowes deals where I was able to load up on Amazon GCs with 20% off using Amex Offers.

Having store in thread title helps make it easier to find stores you like, but I guess it could help you find stores you don’t want to shop at…

@moonknight You can try this code: NP9JKA8A
It’s available.
Where are you getting all of these codes @melody? I don’t see them listed on the product pages (typically Amazon lists them under the “special offers and product promotions” section or by the price). Or are you getting them directly from the companies/their representatives?
