Gas hits $8.35 at some gas stations in Los Angeles (In extreme contrast, my brother who lives inTexas said gas there only costs $2.45 a gallon). The sky high gas prices might just be a CA thing (see second article link)

Luckily for me (I live outside of Los Angeles) and I just filled up for “only” $5.19 a gallon. I think the station that is $8.35 a gallon in LA is an outlier. I wonder what will happen if it hits $10 a gallon as all the gas pumps aren’t even able to display a price of more than $9.99 a gallon.

Missouri is cheap too.

@sonofzeus how are you able to look at that map and know that Missouri has cheap gas? Looks like a purple puddle to me. I paid $3.19/gallon yesterday.
-
@my4mainecoons Look at the key. Each color represents a price tier.
BTW gas prices around St Louis/E St Louis (Illinois) are always very low compared to the rest of the region.

@sonofzeus I saw the key but the map still looks like a puddle. 🙂

As it turns out these high gas prices might just be a CA thing: (credit to MC for the article)

The cheapest gas in my area of So Cal is now $4.78 a gallon at Sam’s Club, My brother in Texas said the cheapest gas in his area is $2.92 a gallon. A $1.86 price differential. Just amazing.

@mrvietnam Why are you amazed? Our chicken is always cheaper than yours too.

In normal times, our gas was usually $1 more, but now it is pushing $2 more than other states. That is why I found it amazing.
P.S. I’m glad you have cheap chicken wherever you live.
