On a plus note, the old Sears store near us, shuttered for 3 years, is due to reopen as a Home Depot early next year, after remodeling.
I say Godspeed to that! Our local Lowe’s store is a real clown show!

I say Godspeed to that! Our local Lowe’s store is a real clown show!The nearest Sears store here is still vacant while the Kmart was turned into a Burlington and a soon to open Ross store.

In January I used up the last of my Sears GC. I ordered from Kmart.com and selected items with FS. Order was filled by 3rd party sellers, ie Sears or Kmart Marketplace and shipped by Amazon. Overpriced but the GC were free/MM and I got things I actually can use.

I used up a very old BB&B gift card this week at my local closing store this week. My store was actually more recently added to the closing list. Most (still overpriced) items were 40% off. Nothing amazing in terms of value or quality to be found, but, good to get rid of the GC. It’s just as sad to see another retailer going under as it is to say that I don’t think I’m really going to miss it. They no longer had much worthwhile to offer.
