I ordered 3 ready to bake pizzas and 2 orders of wings and after the discount it should have come to $10.95, but they want to charge me another $5.18 in various taxes and fees! They added on 50 cents for a convenience fee and $4.53 in tax and 15 cents for a bag fee. I don’t know where that is coming from because food is not taxed here and even if it was $31 of food would only have of $2.87. I think prepared food is taxed here, but I ordered the ready to bake pizzas. I think the $20 off was a retail coupon, so I should have only be taxed $1.01 instead of $4.53. For me it is closer to half off a $30 order rather than two-thirds off but perhaps still a decent deal.
EDIT: I just placed the order for $16.13. I will call the 7-11 corporate customer care department on Thursday, 1/2/25, to complain about being taxed more than the tax rate in my jurisdiction. About 2 minutes after placing the order I got notification it is ready for pick up, but when I got to the 7-11 I had to wait about 15 minutes for my order to be prepared.
