Can I purchase a gift card at Dollar General paying with a credit card? I remember once several years ago Dollar General had a gift card sale in which if you bought any two gift cards you would get $15 off so I bought two $15 variable load Burger King gift cards for $30 and I only had to pay $15, making them 50% off at that time. I bought a bunch… Back then if I used a credit card it would work at the register but the store insisted that I pay cash for gift cards. I was wondering, is that still the case?

@mrvietnam Great Q. I called my nearest DG. They are accepting credit cards for GC purchases. Your stores may not be doing the same.
