For anyone wanting to rack up CB with CC’s that are currently offering bonuses in the Office Supply Store category, Staples is waiving the $7.95 activation fee this week for:
Visa® Virtual $200.00 Gift Card, Email Delivery, max. 5
- Email delivery within 24 hours; orders placed over a weekend may be delayed until Monday
- Visa Virtual eGift Cards can be redeemed online only.
- Gift Cards and phone cards are non-refundable and non-returnable.
- Gift Cards are valid only at the retailer or service provider listed on the card.
- Prepaid cards cannot be redeemed for cash. Specific terms and conditions are included with each card.
- Gift cards are often requested in scams so never give gift card information to someone you don’t know. Never use a gift card to pay a debt. If you would like to learn more or would like report a suspected scam please go to ftc.gov/giftcards | 1-877-FTC-HELP or contact your state attorney general.
- In compliance with Federal anti-money laundering regulations, Staples is unable to process orders for gift cards exceeding $1,000+
Note: comment from Staples Q&A: The virtual card is emailed to you and you click the link, fill out your info, and it will open a window with the card number expiration and CVC code. You’ll need to screenshot or write it down right away as you can’t access this again. Seems to work just fine on all online purchases.
Cashback opportunities (currently up to 7.5% CB)
Note: check CB fine print, may exclude gift card purchases

This is the first time I’ve seen Staples offer no activation fee for virtual cards.
Last week (ended yesterday) there was the usual no activation fee for physical $200 Visa gc and the week before that there was no activation fee for $200 MC gc.
I wonder if the virtual Visas will become part of the monthly rotation.
They don’t carry many denominations of MC gc online.
