This is the first time I’ve seen Staples offer no activation fee for virtual cards.
Last week (ended yesterday) there was the usual no activation fee for physical $200 Visa gc and the week before that there was no activation fee for $200 MC gc.
I wonder if the virtual Visas will become part of the monthly rotation.
They don’t carry many denominations of MC gc online.

There was similar offer for prepaid MC a few weeks ago. I was surprised to find they’d been removed from the stores in my state. We’ve never been able to purchase prepaid Amex but MC wasn’t a problem. Maybe the MC got pulled because of the theft issues.
I saw plenty of Visa’s so I’ll be getting those for 5% on Chase Ink.
Limit 1 per customer but no Rewards card needed since no Rewards earned for gc purchases so its up to the cashier to enforce the limit.

After getting nothing for years - literally, years - I’ve gotten 3 different ones of these in a row. And used them all. To buy approximately $10.50 worth of product each time.

Staples’ email algorithm mystifies me.

@angryeyebrows time machine and all that… I bought my K145 at Staples when it was $29.99 AR and coupons. It was one of the first machines available IIRC. Had no idea it had a heavy duty pump, just knew that if it was for offices that it should be better than one for home use. I have refillable filters but the coffee doesn’t taste as good. I buy K-cups when they are cheaper or same price as buying beans/ground coffee. e.g. 36 ct Newman’s Own was $5 when they changed the packaging. 16 ct boxes drop to $2 at Staples before being discontinued. This week I’m going to splurge and spend $5 for 16-18 ct decaf at Staples. Decaf never gets clearance priced.

@mrvietnam Do you buy K cups? RR $9.99+ at Staples but they sell 16-18 ct bx vs. 12 ct at supermarket for $5-$6. So pay $5+ for more than you’d get at supermarket.

I’m after the Polar Seltzer that’s on clearance for $1 an 8 pack. I bought 10 last week before the coupon came out. Heading back for more this week with my coupons.

I’ve seen Softsoap pumps for $1. I’ve bought a lot of 3M sponges there using coupons.

I’m not doing the B2G1 deal myself, but I have not seen any report of rebate issues on SD, as long as the NI-SKU is correctly scanned 3 times. The rebate amount of $117 is shown for 3 cases.

@bbsearchlight I was at an out of town Staples. Handed over gc thinking it would cover the ream and maybe activation fee. To my surprise the entire $140 on the gc was applied to my purchase of ream + $400 in visas. So I went to another store and did the same thing with the above cards. So it may be YMMV but I didn’t even know the register would allow it until now.
