They have a decent deal at Groupon right now for “new” Costco membership and this year it might be worth it for me to have it. I was a member many many years ago… over 5, I think. So will I be considered as a “new” member?

Just have a friend with a membership buy you Costco cash cards and you can shop at Costco without having to pay an annual fee.
