YMMV, but I found this on my Hilton Hhonots card. Just in time for Black Friday if any good deals come along. i am thinking of just using it to buy an already discounted gift card with e-mail delivery though.

Got a couple of these. Will probably just buy SC GCs and use them to shop in store.

If the “couple of these” are under different Amex cards/accounts under the same name and/or SSN, you’ll likely find that the offer can only be applied to one card these days. Even if you manage to apply it to multiple cards, upon logging out and logging back in to those other cards, the added offer may disappear.
If the offers are on legitimate Authorized User (AU) accounts, where those AU’s have a different SSN, you can likely add the offer to those accounts (but it’ll prevent those AU’s from adding the offer to their own Primary accounts, if they have any).

I bought a $20 Sam’s Club gift card (also can be used at Walmart by the way) online to be mailed to me, but I did not get the instant confirmation e-mail from Am Ex (not that it matters. of course). I noticed you cannot buy a $15 Sam’s Club gift card you have to choose from their preset denominations. They start at $10 and then jump to $20. Another note, if you read the customer omments of people who have bought this previously at samsclub.com, you may have to call in to activate your gift card (even though Sam’s Club doesn’t tell you that). I would definitely check the balance on it once you receive it.
Off topic, but does anyone know if you can use a Sam’d Club or Walmart gift card at the Sam’s Club gas pumps? I know at Costco you can use s Costco gift card (cCash Card), but I have never tried at Dan’s Club gas pumps.

Answering my own question: Yes, you can use s Sam’s Club or Walmart gift card or e-gift card to buy gas at Sam’s Club, I wonder how paying with an e-gift card would work. You would probably need the gas attendant’s help. I have a big gift card balance (mostly e-gift cards), so this will be an easy way to get rid of those pesky e-gift cards. (I found the answer at samsclub.com.)

If you have 2 eligible Amex cards, you can use both cards for a single $30 order.

I don;t even think samsclub.com lets you do that. I think an order all has to go on one credit card, but saying you could split payments, it still wouldn’t work as these deals are now limited to one per cardmember across all cards

Enter 2 cards and select both. On the next screen, it asks how you want to split the payment. The 2 cards do not have to belong to the same person.

@mrvietnam Using an e-gift card isn’t possible at the gas station. Tried this before, you have to go to customer service tell them you want to buy gas and they will convert it to a physical gift card. The physical gift cards are very cheaply made, had trouble getting them recognized in store or at the gas pump, even when brand new. After so many swipes, the only way to fix it is to have them convert it to another gift card and hope it works.

Thanks for the information. I will convert my egift cards over to physical gift cards at the customer service desk and keep my receipts in case the cards can’t be read and push comes to shove,

I am not sure about third party gift cards, but definitely if you ordered a Sam’s Club gift card for this offer, it will come in the mail (my $20 card came Federal Express) NOT ACTIVATED. You will have to take the Sam’s Club gift card along with the receipt (order confirmation e-mail or shipping slip that came with the card) to a Sam’s Club store for activation. No way to activate online or on the phone. This is a little screwy as no where does it say this in the online ordering process, but I found out when I checked the balance on the card and the system let me know it wasn’t activated until I brought it into a club. Would be much more convenient if you could activate over the phone or online as you can with Costco cash cards.
-
I received an email with activation code.

Did you order a Sam’s Club gift card? About how long after you received it did you get the code in your e-mail? It has been about 18 hours for me so far and no e-mail.

Yes, 2 Sam’s Club GCs. The email was sent when they were shipped.

Thanks. I searched my old, deleted e-mails and I see when it was shipped they sent a link to click on for activation. Saves a trip to Sam’s Club.
