You can then go to that thread, find replies requesting ibotta referrals, and PM/chat your personal referral info to them privately. If you subscribe to that thread you’ll get automatic notifications whenever someone posts a referral request so you don’t have to keep checking the thread. @fivetalents Didn’t take long for the cops to arrive (that’s likely a good sign that your efforts to moderate the site are working). May I ask what the harm could be for posting a referral code?

I think that is a question that could probably be most effectively answered by @dangeRuss but the goal is prevent this site from becoming overrun by bots, spam, self-promotion, referrals etc. Having a dedicated thread still allows a (private) means for members to share their referrals.
