Anyone know if Target gives overage as long as you have another item in your order to absorb the overage? I know 2-3 years ago I got some nice overage using free 12 pack coupons from My Coke Rewards, but that was a while ago and maybe things have changed.

@MrVietnam depends, if the coupon auto scans for the $3 with other stuff on the order, you’ll be okay, if it beeps due to being more than the selling price of the item ($1.99) cashier will adjust it most likely.
Last I heard, in general, was that the overage days at Target wasn’t like it used to be, that they beefed up their point of sale system. But YMMV on this given scenario.

I found a store that had a lot and tried it but yes it beeped and the cashier reduced it.
Does the store get the full amount when it is returned to the company for reimbursement?

@canusa typically yes, unless the coupon wording is “UP TO” $3, which this is not.

which is why I never feel bad about overage from these types of Q’s…if you don’t pocket it, the store will. Better in your pocket, than their pocket.
