Three AMEX Blue rewards card...merge them?
-
Hi! My wife and I have somehow over the years accumulated 3 AMEX Blue accounts. I think they started off as different rewards cards, then got switched over to the Blue one. Anyway, is it possible to consolidate them into one account with a combined credit limit and balance? If so, are there ramifications to our credit score? I’m thinking if they could combine the credit limits, then it wouldn’t be a negative hit, right? Or is it more valuable to have three separate accounts?

Leave them separate so you can take advantage of Amex Offers multiple times.

No, don’t consolidate them for the reason @doveroftke said. In fact, for the cards that are primary, get you or your spouse added as AUs (authorized users) so that you get up to 3 more cards. Create online accts at Amex for each of the new cards and when a great offer comes along, you have greater odds of receiving it multiple times.

Thank you for the advice!!!

Is there a certain combined credit limit among several Am Ex cards in which you are more likely for an Am Ex account review? At one time I heard it was a combined credit line of over 25K.
