Sears is laying off hundreds of corporate employees after announcing 96 store closings

Not sure if already posted (apologize if so) but here’s the complete 96 store closing list.

Sad (but not surprised) that Sears in Buena Park, CA is closing.
But Kmart in Long Beach is still hanging on by a thread - there are almost always customers there, even though it isn’t packed. And it’s a couple of streets down from the Sears in Long Beach, which is nicer and in better shape than Buena Park.

CT still hanging in there with their stores

like watching a slow painful death with Sears/KMart. Been about almost 4 years of these periodic store closing lists, eventually there won’t be anything left to close down. the smaller they get, the less critical mass they have, this is what is commonly referred to in business as a death spiral.
Really sad, really loved KMart in its heyday, far better than WalMart IMO. I’ve never enjoyed shopping at WalMart as much as I did Kmart back in the 1970’s - 90’s.

We must live close to each other, I am in central Orange County.

The one surviving store here will stay open for now. I did buy Amazon GC there when there’s 5% promo on a CC I have.
I really wished I had hold on to some of the old Sears catalogs from the 80s. Good times.
