Just to show you how much Office Depot jacks up the prices on items when they offer items for 100% back after rewards. One of the two qualifying hand sanitizers, XtraCare, I bought 3 months ago on sale for $1.99. Now the exact same item is $4.99. But with that said, it is still a good deal to at least get the minimum $10 monthly purchase needed for ink recycling, as I certainly don’t need more batteries. Good thing there are 17 hand sanitizers to choose from and some are more reasonably priced, like Germ-X for $2.49. Take that back. The $2.49 Germ-X is for a 2-ounce bottle, not an 8-ounce one.
Last year, starting November 1, Office Depot started their monthlong WEEKLY recycling bonus that let you get double rewards and recycle each week during the month of November. I collected $200 in rewards during that promo. Regrettably I don’t see them repeating it (yet) this year.
Nice coupon code you posted, MC, for 20% off your entire purchase. No need to capitalize “on regular-priced items only” though as at least for the hand sanitizer they are charging regular prices and then some probably.
Just as a reminder before you buy tons of hand sanitizer that it does carry an expiration date. i still use it past expiration, sometimes if I have unused bottles, but I am just letting you guys know.

@MrVietnam FYI, when I posted this deal (re regular prices) the hand sanitizers still reflected the sale prices from last week. the little bottles were $1.49!! that’s why I have it there, posted this at 4AM or whatever with the clock change.

Not to hijack the thread, but some OM/OD have Duracell Quantum size C 5-pk on clearance for $1.94. This is if you don’t want to deal with rewards deals. They also have AAA and AA 8-pk for the same clearance price. As always, YMMV with clearance.

@mrvietnam You can buy plain isopropyl rubbing alcohol, at least 70%, and add it to hand sanitizer to boost the effectiveness, expired or not. Also makes the sanitizer less gooey.

@mistercheap Maybe sanitizer prices are starting to come down. My local Publix grocery store (Parkview Commons, Ocala, FL) has 3 kinds on 50% off clearance, 2 are USA made. E.g. 4 oz bottle, $1.10.

I bought my hand sanitizers one at a time and pricematched each one with Target. The Germ X 32 oz hand sanitizer was at Office Depot for $9.99, but $5.99 at Target, so I bought a bottle with 20% off coupon and they pricematched it and left the coupon on, so I got the hand sanitizer even cheaper than it was going for at Target. Finally they have a 100% back in rewards item that I could really use.
