@mistercheap Thanks Mr.C! I got a bag of salmon & brown rice for the cats. Their current dry food is Pro Plan Salmon & Rice so hopefully they won’t mind a little Canidae mixed in. I felt the size of the kibble through the bag and it felt cat sized. RR $21.99. It was on an end cap with larger bags that were marked as clearance. Maybe they’re doing the same as RA, giving away stuff they’re discontinuing.

@mommyofhandk I don’t know about in your area but here the Feeding America warehouse accepts donations of pet food which they then distribute to local food pantries. When I had 12 bags of Puppy Chow I gave it to them. (Our local shelter received a grant from Hills Science Diet,)
I bring cartons of stuff I get from my deals to Feeding America. My local food shelf doesn’t need the quantities that I acquire. By bringing it to Feeding America they distribute it across the state where its needed most. The only exception has been when I used to give them cases of paper. They used that themselves. I give them toothpaste, shampoo, incontinence items, deodorant, etc.
