If you took advantage of the FREE Fresh Pass membership from the Flavor Adventure Game at Safeway Family Stores in 2023, your free year will be ending in the months ahead, and possibly sometime in June when the game started last year.
If you linked an actual ‘real’ credit card to your account, be sure to cancel your membership before the anniversary date to avoid being billed $99 for another year. If your membership is up say June 28th, clip all your fresh pass Q’s in early June, then cancel the membership so you’re not inclined to forget.

Once we cancel the Fresh Pass membership, when will our banked rewards points expire? I know with the Fresh Pass membership, rewards points didn’t expire.
It should be noted that you can cancel online, no need to talk to an actual person. Three of my accounts renew on 6/30 and the last one renews on 7/15.

Depends when you earned the points of course. but to play it safe, I’d convert the points into a reward(s) prior to the cancellation. if you do it say on June 28th, the rewards s/b good to 7/31 to redeem giving you some time.

Good point on saying it depends when I earned them. I think I will take your advice and play it safe and use up all my rewards points before I cancel Fresh Pass.

On May 3, 2024, someone redeemed 300 rewards points at a Chevron gas station, but it wasn’t me. Is there any way to get my points back? Can you tell me the address of the gas station where the points were redeemed?
I am waiting on chat to speak to a representative.

I presume that as with any membership they will notify us before charging the cc. I never have any points. 😕

I earned all my points from the online game last year.
I have memberships all the time where they don’t notify me and just charge my credit card. Paramount+ is the most recent example for me.

Isn’t Paramount monthly? Annual memberships have messaged me.

The points were used at a gas station in a neighboring city (in Irvine, CA), but it definitely was not me. She gladly reinstated my 300 points and filed a report about it. I better use the points up quickly before someone else does. I wish all these places like Albertsons and Rite Aid that just require a phone number to redeem rewards would also require a PIN number. It would put a stop to this type of thing.
Luckily the theft was not from an account that I have a lot more in rewards. But who knows, I need to check those accounts too to see if the cleaned out my points on those.
UPDATE: My other 3 accounts were untouched. I have 1,405 rewards points on one account and 1,705 rewards points on another, so I am glad the bad guys haven’t discovered the phone numbers associated with those accounts yet. My third account just has a measly 602 [points on it.

This happened to me at Rite Aid a few months ago, at a store 70 miles from me that I never go to. Totally agree on a PIN#. Walgreen’s has you enter in your zip code, but even that isn’t the best security if you’re shopping in a store where your zip code is in that area. easy to just keep trying zips from a 5 mile radius.

Just received an email telling me that Fresh Pass will expire in one month. Has instructions for making changes, i.e. cancelling.

I waited til today to cancel, as this shows, your fresh pass benefits continue to the date the annual plan expires. So clip your $5 June Coupon, and cancel, June $5 FP expires on 6/15 rather than 6/30 so be sure to redeem it prior to expiry.
